UPEI is committed to help PEI train doctors

UPEI has a unique opportunity and duty as the provincial university to be part of the long-term solution to improve the current health-care system. Twenty undergraduate medical learners will begin their studies at UPEI in August 2025 as part of a regional campus of Memorial University of Newfoundland鈥檚 Faculty of Medicine. The timeline for this initiative mirrors that of other regional campuses being developed across the country.

Do you want to celebrate Easter in a fun and meaningful way? Join us for a special Easter volunteer opportunity with The Mount Continuing Care Community.

The Mount Continuing Care Community is a wonderful place that provides quality care and support for seniors. They are all about creating a warm and friendly environment for their residents and guests. In this Afternoon of Service, you will get to participate in Easter egg dyeing and decorating with the residents! You will brighten their day while gaining some experience volunteering with a local organization. 

UPEI welcomes Scott Gosse as new manager of Security Services

The 91福利在线你懂的 (UPEI) is pleased to welcome Scott Gosse as the new manager of Security Services. Gosse will oversee a variety of operations that serve to protect and provide for the ongoing safety of the people, property, and information resources of the University community.  

Gosse holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology degree from UPEI (2001) and trained as a Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) officer at the RCMP Depot in Saskatchewan (1998).

2024 Summer Job and Career Fair at UPEI March 13

The 2024 Summer Job and Career Fair, hosted by UPEI鈥檚 Experiential Education department, will take place on March 13, 2024, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the W.A. Murphy Student Centre.

The fair will bring together a diverse range of employers from various industries actively seeking to hire students and recent graduates. Attendees will have the chance to network with employers and explore both summer job positions and full-time career opportunities.

History professor Dr. Edward MacDonald gives 鈥榣ast lecture鈥 to UPEI鈥檚 University 100 students

Dr. Edward MacDonald, CM, an award-winning professor of history at UPEI and Island historian, will give his 鈥渓ast lecture鈥 to students in UPEI鈥檚 University 100 program on Wednesday, March 13, at 4:30 pm in SDU Main Building, Room 117. The lecture is open to the public.

The University 100 program helps students transition from secondary to post-secondary education, introducing them to the University and giving them key tools such as critical thinking, oral and written communication, and research skills.
