113 UPEI student-athletes achieve U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian status

The 91福利在线你懂的 congratulates the 113 student-athletes who earned U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian (AAC) status for the 2024鈥2025 season. This number represents 51.4 per cent of UPEI鈥檚 220 varsity student-athletes. 

UPEI student-athletes strive for excellence in sport, academics, and the greater community. This level of academic achievement speaks volumes about their work ethic and the quality of the coaches, faculty, staff, volunteers, and others who support them throughout the year.

Take Our Kids to Work Day at UPEI a success for 25 grade nine students

UPEI Human Resources welcomed 25 Grade 9 students from schools across the province for Take Our Kids to Work Day on November 5, 2025.

Take Our Kids to Work Day is an annual event that introduces Grade 9 students to the world of work and provides a day of exploration and inspiration. At UPEI, the day offered a special opportunity for students to explore the University, learn about different career paths, and imagine the kind of future they want to build.

UPEI Canada Research Chair in Socio-Psychological Epidemiology for Healthy Animals renewed

Dr. Caroline Ritter, assistant professor in the UPEI Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, has been renewed as a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Socio-Psychological Epidemiology for Healthy Animals for five years ending June 30, 2030. 

Dr. Ritter鈥檚 chair, valued at $500,000, was included in an announcement of more than $690 million to support science and research made by the Honourable M茅lanie Joly, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions, on October 22.

UPEI publishes new research magazine

UPEI鈥檚 new research magazine, , was officially launched at a celebration event held on the campus on Friday, September 26.

The full-colour magazine features the innovative and exciting research taking place at UPEI. The inaugural issue focuses on research projects in 2024鈥2025, ranging from a gene mutation linked with Parkinson鈥檚 disease to the impacts of working remotely on employees.

UPEI marked National Day for Truth and Reconciliation with TRC Mawi鈥檕mi on October 3

UPEI held a well-attended TRC Mawi鈥檕mi in the Quadrangle between Kelley Memorial Building and the W.A. Murphy Student Centre, from 10:00 am鈥2:00 pm, on Friday, October 3.

The TRC Mawi鈥檕mi鈥攖he word for 鈥済athering鈥 in the Mi鈥檏maw language鈥攚as held to mark the 10th anniversary of the release of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission鈥檚 Final Reports along with 94 Calls to Action that guide Canada鈥檚 path toward reconciliation.
