Prince Edward Island author Deirdre Kessler will launch a new children鈥檚 chapter book, Adventures of an Island cat named BRUPP, on Sunday, May 21, at 2 pm, in the Carriage House, Beaconsfield, 2 Kent Street, Charlottetown.

Dr. Laurie Brinklow, an assistant professor of Island Studies at UPEI, will give a seminar titled 鈥淭he Bridge Effect: A Case Study of Prince Edward Island, Canada, with some implications for Gozo鈥� on May 24, from 11:30 am to 1 pm ADT.

Patients as people first, 3D-printed spinal surgical drill guides, ant-inspired robots, PEI鈥檚 retention of international graduates, and patient-reported experience measures for IBD were the focus of complex thesis research presentations delivered in three minutes or less by UPEI graduate students to a riveted audience on April 25.

The UPEI Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering (FSDE) showcased the best in sustainable design engineering projects by its students at the annual Student Design Expo on Friday, April 28, 2023.

Teilhard de Chardin: A Book of Hours, co-edited by Dr. Libby Osgood, CND, assistant professor in the UPEI Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering, and Dr. Kathleen Deignan, CND, Iona College, New York, will be launched on Wednesday, May 17, at 7:00 pm at the Charlottetown Library Rotary Room.

Dr. Larry Hammell, professor of health management, Atlantic Veterinary College at UPEI, is the recipient of the College鈥檚 2022 Atlantic Award of Excellence in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Care.

Four poems from Dr. Laurie Brinklow鈥檚 PEI Book Award-winning poetry book, My island鈥檚 the house I sleep in at night (Island Studies Press/Walleah Press), have been set to music by Don Kay, one of Tasmania鈥檚 best-loved composers.

The 91福利在线你懂的 will hold Convocation during four ceremonies scheduled for May 16 to 19. Over 1,100 graduates comprise the Class of 2023. 

On Thursday, May 11, six student teams will pitch their business for a share of $56,000 in prize money during the Panther Pitch Competition. The event, which is open to the public, will take place from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in Don and Marion McDougall Hall, Room 242.
