Fresh off an impressive showcase at the 2022 Canada Summer Games, first-year biology student Ryan MacDonald is preparing to make a similar impression with the UPEI Cross Country team.

The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC), 91福利在线你懂的, is proud to congratulate Nima Morady, fourth-year doctor of veterinary medicine (DVM) student, on being awarded first place in the Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association鈥檚 (HSVMA) Compassionate Care Scholarship competition.

The 42^nd annual Terry Fox Run will take place on Sunday, September 18, across Canada. The event will once again be held in person, uniting neighbourhoods and schools as they participate in the 2022 Terry Fox Run. This year鈥檚 Charlottetown Terry Fox Run will take place at the 91福利在线你懂的 Alumni Canada Games Place track. Reilly Sullivan, a fourth-year biology student and a member of the Panthers women鈥檚 basketball team, is organizing this year鈥檚 event.

Students, staff, and faculty were informed on Wednesday, September 14, that UPEI will observe a one-time statutory holiday on September 19 in observance of a National Day of Mourning for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Every week, UPEI Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. UPEI Panther Subway Athletes of the Week for September 5鈥�11 are Emily Duffy (women鈥檚 rugby) and Salem Farag (men鈥檚 soccer).

Last season, no one knew what to expect from UPEI鈥檚 men鈥檚 soccer team. They were a young, inexperienced group who defied expectations and battled their way to a playoff spot. A year later, this team is brimming with confidence and looking to do more than just make the playoffs.

Researchers with UPEI鈥檚 Health and Wellness Centre and Recreation PEI are seeking participants for the free lifestyle intervention program known as Canadian Health Advanced by Nutrition and Graded Exercise (CHANGE). 

Spend a few minutes chatting about UPEI women鈥檚 soccer with head coach Lewis Page and you鈥檒l notice the word 鈥渃onfidence鈥� often comes up. That鈥檚 because there鈥檚 a renewed sense of purpose among his players who believe they can turn the team鈥檚 recent fortunes around.
