The Institute of Island Studies and Environmental Studies are hosting a noon-hour discussion on Thursday, April 4 for students, staff, and faculty to talk about ongoing concerns around land use on PEI: the quality of our groundwater, the protection of our farmland, and the protection of our coastal areas, to name three concerns. If you live on PEI, your opinion matters. In April the newly formed land-use task force will hold public consultations with Islanders on these issues. UPEI engineering students and Engineers PEI invite the campus community to attend the 2013 UPEI Engineering Design Expo and Awards Ceremony. The expo and judging will take place on Wednesday, April 3 from 12:00 noon - 4:00 pm. The awards ceremony will follow at 5:00 -6:30 pm and will include the UPEI Engineering Individual Awards, Engineers PEI Design Team Awards, and the Noel MacAleer Award. Sara Eisler, University of New Brunswick, Science Atlantic/CIC Speaker Tour will present a seminar on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 12:30 pm. The presentation is entitled 鈥淚soindolinones: a New Class of Multi-Stable Molecular Switches and Conductive Oligomers鈥�. The seminar will be held in Room 128 in the KC Irving Chemistry Centre.
