The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at the 91¸£ÀûÔÚÏßÄ㶮µÄ (UPEI) recently bid farewell to seven of its most beloved staff members in a heartwarming retirement party.

The Honourable Diane F. Griffin was installed as the tenth Chancellor of the 91¸£ÀûÔÚÏßÄ㶮µÄ during a ceremony held at the University on Friday, April 5. She was unanimously elected to the volunteer position earlier this year by UPEI’s Board of Governors.

UPEI’s Department of Athletics and Recreation celebrated the 2023–24 season at the annual UPEI Panther Celebration—Athletic Awards Gala on Friday, April 5, recognizing outstanding student-athletes who have excelled in sport, the classroom, and the community.

Yukon poet and fiction writer Joanna Lilley will give a public reading as part of an Atlantic Canada tour in the Faculty Lounge, SDU Main Building, UPEI on Tuesday, April 16, at 7:00 pm.

The Honourable Catherine Callbeck, former Chancellor of the 91¸£ÀûÔÚÏßÄ㶮µÄ, has been named Chancellor Emerita in recognition of her outstanding service to the University from 2018 to 2023.

In the 2024–2025 operating budget, the University is making substantial investments in employees, particularly those involved with providing frontline services to students, staff, and faculty.

Faculty and staff of the biomedical sciences department at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) ladled out generosity and conversation to hundreds of hungry students at the 91¸£ÀûÔÚÏßÄ㶮µÄ (UPEI) in February. 

The UPEI Office of Health, Safety, and Environment has provided information to the campus community about viewing the upcoming total solar eclipse safely. 

Dr. Brent MacLaine will launch a new poetry book called A Skeptic in Springtime on April 24, 2024, at 7 pm, in the Faculty Lounge (Room 201), SDU Main Building, 91¸£ÀûÔÚÏßÄ㶮µÄ.
