National Day for Truth and Reconciliation - no classes on Tuesday, September 30.
September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, also referred to as Orange Shirt Day鈥攁 day to 鈥渉onour Survivors, their families, and communities, and ensure that public commemoration of the history and legacy of residential schools remains a vital component of the reconciliation process.鈥 (Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada).
At UPEI, we have a responsibility to support and advance Truth and Reconciliation (TRC) on September 30 and throughout the year. As such, we will mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation with events on campus leading up to September 30 - these events will be posted here soon.
