We will be sending the setup instructions to registered participants the week of the training, stay tuned!

Intro to Unix description:

The Unix shell has been around longer than most of its users have been alive. It has survived because it鈥檚 a powerful tool that allows users to perform complex and powerful tasks, often with just a few keystrokes or lines of code. It helps users automate repetitive tasks and easily combine smaller tasks into larger, more powerful workflows.

Use of the shell is fundamental to a wide range of advanced computing tasks, including high-performance computing. These lessons will introduce you to this powerful tool.

Intro to Python Description:

This lesson is an introduction to programming in Python 3 for people with little or no previous programming experience. It uses plotting as its motivating example and is designed to be used in both and workshops. This lesson references but can be taught using alternative Python 3 interpreters as well (e.g., repl.it, Anaconda).
