A pan-Canadian research team, led by Drs. Javier Sanchez and Luke Heider, AVC鈥檚 Department of Health Management, is developing a surveillance program to measure antimicrobial use (AMU) and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) on Canadian dairy farms, and the effectiveness of antimicrobial stewardship protocols and programs. 

Krystin Matters, who graduated from UPEI this spring with a major in Religious Studies and a minor in Asian Studies, has accepted a position as an assistant English language teacher with the (JET) program.

The University community was saddened to learn of the passing of retired accounting professor Albert 鈥淎b鈥� Ferris, who died on December 3 in Charlottetown, and extends its deepest condolences to his family, friends, and former colleagues and students. 

UPEI announced that effective December 7, 2020, it will move back to an essential services model and suspend in-person classes for two weeks due the restrictions announced by the PEI Chief Public Health Office on December 6, 2020.
